Lucas Tanner Promotional Spot (HD)

From the Television Obscurities YouTube channel, here’s promotional spot for one season wonder Lucas Tanner, starring David Hartman. The show debuted 50 years ago today on Wednesday, September 11th, 1974. This spot was digitized from a beat up 16 mm film reel, so the quality isn’t great, but you can see the scratches in glorious high definition. Do note that the audio becomes out of sync near the end of the spot.

  1. years ago I snarkly remarked that Hartmann. lived off the laurels of his entertaining father Paul..his dad was a light footed dance man ….. He later found his calling with a light weighted daytime type chit- chat show..( Im not impressed with the tributes to Phil donahue by the way////) He was NO Steve allen!!==All these series were geared for a demographic audience skillfully shaped for an I q level
of 105 only……..as an analogy//// compare readers digest with the NEW REPUBLIC………
