2024 TV Guide Fall Preview on Sale Today

I’ve been unexpectedly and unusually busy this summer, which is why things here at Television Obscurities have been so quiet. But I want to let the other three or four people who collect TV Guide Magazine fall preview issues know that the 2024 edition goes on sale today. At least that’s according to the magazine’s editorial calendar for this year.

Because I only think about TV Guide Magazine when the fall preview issue is published, I did not realize each issue now covers three weeks. That means there will only be 18 issues this year.

For the past few years, I’ve been able to find the fall preview issue at Barnes & Noble but not at my local supermarkets. If you’re a collector, hit the comments and let me know where you find your copy.

TV Guide Magazine had an average circulation of 963,789 for the six months ending June 30th, according to the Alliance for Audited Media.

  1. I am a Subscriber!! Thankfully, this year has New Shows and Returning Favorites with Set Premiere Dates, though later than usual!!

  2. lets look at it this way// where is there a source for ALL preview issues digitalized on line? things like paper // COVER illustrations are as common as the long- lost BING aggregates***..i hadnt looked for so long// its out of sight/ mind—-.. i dont even recall any artists plans/ sketches / guaches-/- water colors// or final prints at auction like down in Texas at HERITAGE auctions which soecializes in eccentric hard- to- find rarities of this nature//— i dont even remember the original ad agencied involved anymore.!– The story of RADNOR. PA and king of prussiia was legend after we got bred of going to Hershey Oa with the kids……….. the only thing I remember is there was No distinct SMELL when operning the fresh copy// weekly– it was so rituslistic

  3. Since 2003, when TV Guide stopped being published weekly, I’ve only seen one issue of the publication. (That was when a neighbor was away for a few days and asked me to bring in her mail.) I haven’t seen TV Guide in stores, and never see an issue in anyone’s home. I wasn’t sure that it was still being published. Nowadays I rarely watch new shows that aren’t on PBS, so I just read the monthly program guide WQLN sends out to its members.

  4. I checked Barnes & Noble today but didn’t see TV Guide anywhere. I sort of remember the editorial calendar having the wrong date in the past. I’ll check again on Monday.

  5. Their circulation was higher when it was a useful source for information. The UK has several useful magazines for TV listings and they all come out weekly, why cant we have one.

  6. I ended up having to buy a copy of this year’s fall preview issue on eBay. After checking Barnes & Noble three times plus the two big grocery stores nearby one or two times, I gave up on finding the issue myself. This is the first time I haven’t been able to find it.
