Here’s a very brief excerpt from a college football game broadcast on KBTV (Channel 9) in Denver, CO on Sunday, October 17th, 1970. Is this audio all that survives from an otherwise lost broadcast?
The game, which I believe aired either nationally or regionally on ABC, saw Notre Dame face off against the University of Missouri. This 49-second excerpt comes from the end of halftime and includes the announcer promoting educational opportunities at the University of Missouri. At the very end of the excerpt, the current score is mentioned: Notre Dame 3, Missouri 0.
For the record, the final score was Notre Dame 24, Missouri 7.
