Portions of the
TVObscurities.com were originally published online between 1999 and 2005 by RJ and have been added to
TVObscurities.com by RJ to create a single cohesive hub for obscure television.
All images, audio and video clips, names, titles, etc, are, unless otherwise noted, copyright their respect copyright holders (i.e. production companies, networks, creators) and no copyright infringement is intended nor is TVObscurities.com
claiming the rights to any of these files/titles/names/et cetera. All images, audio and video clips, names, titles, etc are believed to fall under the "Fair Use" section of the United States Copyright Law, the full text of which can be found here.
TVObscurities.com has been put together chiefly by the hard work and research of RJ. Anything contributed via e-mail is duly noted and appreciated.
TVObscurities.com will acknowledge any contributions (corrections, memories, recollections) that are sent to us through e-mail or any other medium. We are not in business of taking anything and placing it on this site as our own.
We occasionally take comments/suggestions/questions/ideas sent to us via e-mail and reprint them on our page in order to express other opinions or to show that interest in shows is still around. We will never do this in an attempt to discredit or in an attack on someone's character. Anyone e-mailing us should understand that we may reprint portions of the e-mail (minus full name, e-mail address or any private details). We will remove any comments reprinted on the site should such removal be requested.
TVObscurities.com does everything within its power to confirm that all facts presented here are verified and accurate. Some portions of
TVObscurities.com reflect the opinion of RJ and are not presented as fact. Corrections are welcome, we all make mistakes and
TVObscurities.com will work quickly to make sure all information is up-to-date and correct. We will acknowledge all contributions, regardless of size or scope.
TVObscurities.com will link to outside websites only at our
links page and only to websites that a) involve television in a large enough capacity that we believe our visitors will enjoy them AND b) link back to us (when applicable). Links to
TVObscurities.com are always welcome and will be reciprocated when possible. Please do not ask for a link back to a fan site for a specific series/actor. We cannot at this time link to such sites.
DO NOT COPY anything from
TVObscurities.com without our express permission.
DO NOT LINK directly to any images or media files. Link
ONLY to a specific page within our website or to the main page. Linking directly to our files drains bandwidth and is not very nice.
TVObscurities.com respects the privacy of our viewers. We have in the past and continue to utilize various statistics programs to determine how many people are visiting our site and what portions they are viewing the most, all very acceptable practices in regards to websites.
While IP addresses and cookies are used by these statistics programs, we
DO NOT collect information on our visitors and
DO NOT share any information with any third party that is not part of
TVObscurities.com. We do collect voluntary information via our
survey but this information is used only to make the site a better place for our viewers and not in any other way.
TVObscurities.com does offer a
message board as a service to our visitors, which we will always attempt to keep strictly moderated. No one coming to
TVObscurities.com should have to worry about any personal information being collected other than for the reasons we stated earlier. We do our best to ensure the privacy of all our visitors.
We may occasionally print comments/memories/suggestions e-mailed to us by fans on pages within our site, but we will never reprint e-mail addresses.
We attempt to keep the content of
TVObscurities.com at a level suitable to anyone who is old enough to watch primetime television. However, certain aspects of the site may not be suitable for younger readers, such as outtakes, which may contain strong language. We will always warn readers of any sections that we feel are not suitable for children.
The bottom line: TVObscurities.com works hard to offer visitors a unique experience related to television as a whole and obscure/forgotten specifically. By utilizing RealMedia we are able to bring obscure shows not seen in decades straight into your homes. We are not looking for profit and are only attempting to keep the memory of obscure television from fading away forever. We are, however, trying to achieve something special and, to that end, we would appreciate not having our work stolen.
Please
contact us with any questions/comments.
